Pune Diwali Fest (PDF), a Sakal initiative, first came into public existence 4 years ago. Since then, PDF has retained its place in the hearts of the people with its entertainment and shopping quotients. This year wasn't the exception.
The idea was to relate to every family and every shopper, carefully weaving in the festive spirit- “This Diwali, everyone would be happy!” This message was translated into a series of visuals depicting characters from every walk of life. Almost every character had gifts in their hands to promote the festive spirit and as well as that of gifting. The campaign also included popular Marathi characters as well as those from the all time Hindi hit film, Sholay. To compliment the liveliness of the characters, clay modelling, bright and vibrant colours were chosen for the visual, along with assorted elements of Diwali (also created from clay). The art was matched with a smart copywriting to further enhance the message. The result – a successful campaign full of ‘happy’ visuals that are bound to bring a smile to your face.
